Bro. Gray was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason on November 16, 1989 at Hickman Lodge #256 in Lincoln, NE.

He is Past Master of Hickman Lodge and active in conferring all three degrees of ancient craft masonry.

 Bro. Mike became a 32° Scotish Rite Mason on December 1, 1989. He was invested a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor on November 14, 2009 and was Coroneted a 33° Degree Inspector General Honorary October 24, 2015. He has the honor of serving on the Lincoln Valley KCCH Investiture team.

Bro. Gray is a member of Sesostris Shrine of Lincoln, NE and served on the Sestoris membership and fundraising committees and as an Aid to Past Potentate Al Borchardt.

Background

Mike is a member and Past President of the Lincoln Association of Health Underwriters, Past President of the Nebraska Association of Health Underwriters, former board member of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Past National Chair of their Political Action Committee.

He is the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Associate National Director, member of the NAHB Board of Directors and Trustee for NAHB’s Political Action Committee, BUILD-PAC.

Mike has two wonderful daughters, Stephanie & Sara, married to two great guys, David Francl & Lance Brown. His grandchildren are very special to him, Stephanie’s Emma & Ella and Sara’s Elliott & EJ.

Bro. Mike was born in Superior, Nebraska where he grew up in the family-owned hotel and restaurant business. After graduation from Superior High School he attended the University of Nebraska before starting a career with Coca-Cola that would span 20 years; the last 5 years as General Manager of Lincoln Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

After 20 years in the soft drink business , Mike made a career change. He started his insurance career in 1987 with Woodmen of the World, joined Midlands Financial Benefits employee benefit division in September 1991 and the Harry A. Koch Companies benefit department, Lincoln office, March 2005.
