Brother Wood has served The Order of DeMolay for many years. He was appointed Executive Officer for the jurisdiction of Nebraska and served  as Executive Officer from 1999 - 2006. He was elected an Active Member of the DeMolay International Supreme Council and has served on the DeMolay International Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Officers Conference.

Brother Wood joined Liberty Lodge #300 in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 13, 1973, received his Individual Proficiency in 1977, and was Worshipful Master on 1978. He became a member of the Valley of Lincoln and Sesostris Shrine in April 1975.


Background

Brother Wood's hobby is Amateur "Ham" Radio. He has been a Ham Radio Operator for fifty years. During that time he has made contact with all 50 states and over 153 different  countries.

Brother Wood and his wife Linda were married in 1970 and have one son Jason, daughter-in-law Melissa, and two grandsons. Jason is also a Master Mason, Scottish Rite Mason, and Shriner.

Brother Bruce Wood grew up in Fairbury, Nebraska and graduated from Fairbury High School in 1964. He attended the Fairbury J. College, the University of Nebraska, and The Radio Engineering Institute. Brother Wood joined the United States Air Force in 1969. After is four year tour was finished he returned to Lincoln were he worked as a Sales Technician for Leuck Radio Supply before starting his career at the Lincoln Telephone Company. Brother Wood retired after 28 years service with the company.
